At Sts. Simon & Jude, Family Faith Formation Sundays are designed to help the whole family grow in faith—together. This is not a drop-off program. Parents and children participate side by side in a community that supports spiritual growth, learning, and connection.
Each Faith Formation Sunday includes four key parts:
1. Breakouts: Families begin with breakout sessions divided by age group—PreK4 through high school—while parents attend their own breakout. Each group is led by a Guide who introduces the theme of the week through interactive discussion, games, and hands-on activities.
2. Mass: Families are invited to attend Sunday Mass together. While you may choose any Mass time that works for you, the 11:30 AM Mass is intentionally structured with families in mind.
3. Lunch & Learn: After Mass, everyone gathers for a parish meal prepared by our amazing SSJ Cook Team, led by Gary Dirker. During this time, we share upcoming parish events, important announcements, and an introduction to the next month’s theme.
