For Children
(2nd through 4th Grade)

We are blessed to be able to partner with families as their children prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  Our curriculum includes home study in which the parents and children work together to learn about the church and the sacraments, as well as Saturday retreats, in which all families in the preparation program come together for a morning of reflection, prayer, music, and crafts to help the children apply the lessons they have learned to their world.   Children are prepared for First Reconciliation in November, December, and January.  They will receive the sacrament at a Family Reconciliation Service in January.  Children will prepare for First Eucharist in February, March, and April.

Requirements for Sacramental Preparation are:

·         Two consecutive years of faith formation including the current year with excellent attendance OR attendance at Catholic school: please provide a letter from the school documenting attendance and religious education

·         Completion of assigned curriculum at home as a family

·         Attendance at and participation in Sacramental Preparation retreats

·         Submission of Baptism certificate no later than Reconciliation Retreat #1 (November)
