·         Hearts Afire – Parish-based Programs from the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception (HAPP®) is a bold and fresh approach to small group, parish-based, faith renewal programs. It is designed to help us live the complete Catholic life of faith, charity, and the sacraments. It's designed to set our hearts on fire with love of God and neighbor and to inspire us to works of mercy in our families, parishes, and communities. Ellen, or Don Fisher,

·         Men’s Holy Name Retreat – Participate, organize and help with the annual retreat that brings members of the parish together for a weekend of spiritual direction and friendship. Lonnie Minze,

·         Spiritual Directors – Spiritual direction is increasingly sought by people today who desire to have a deeper relationship with God. The gift of spiritual direction is the process of deepening your relationship with God. It is a privileged time and place to confidentially reflect upon this relationship in the company of a trusted person, always keeping in mind that the Holy Spirit is the true director. These meetings can be helpful during those times in which God seems distant, as well as when you are keenly aware of God's presence in your life. We provide one-on-one companionship for people who desire to have a deeper relationship with God.  Pam and Jeff Proctor,, Carolyn Pace, 936-242-1247, Candy Muse,

·         Spiritual Growth- This committee works to develop parish spiritual opportunities and resources.   The focus for this year will be the further development of retreats for adults and mornings of reflection.  If interested, please contact Trey Mirenda,

·         The Watchmen – The purpose of the Watchmen is for men of Sts. Simon and Jude to connect on a regular basis.  We join together in prayer, meditation, and support of each other.  Our focus is on prayer, scripture, traditions, and our role as Catholic Men.  We meet in Room 3 each Friday morning before the work day at 6:00am with our Bibles for coffee and friendship in Christ.  All men of faith are welcome in this group.  Joe Till,

·         Vocations Ministry - This ministry supports vocations through prayer and activities in the parish and throughout the Diocese. Our goal is to help make Sts. Simon and Jude Parish aware we are all called to a vocation be it through a religious life, our professional life, or in our marriage. The Vocations Ministry meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in Room Three. Mary Weaver,

·         Women’s Holy Name Retreat – Holy Name Retreat Center is located on 10 wooded acres with beautiful gardens, which provides a very peaceful and prayerful setting.  The Women’s Holy Name Retreat Weekend is an opportunity to bring women of the parish together for a weekend of spiritual direction and friendship.  Matilda Minze,

Women’s Retreat - Cenacle Here you will find sacred spaces that are ideal for prayer and meditation - whether in the chapel or out on the grounds. You might listen to the gentle splash of a fountain, walk the labyrinth, relax in a hammock, meander along garden pathways or pray with the outdoor Stations of the Cross and Stations of Light. Wherever you go, you will find a setting that is conducive to help you to open your heart and mind to God. Cindy Boudreaux, or Pam Proctor,
