Guardian Angel Closet

Our ministry was established in January 2021 to help parishioners who need a hand up. Buying kids clothing can be costly as our children grow and frequently need new sizes. With rent, mortgage, car, and utility payments due every month, finding affordable clothes for many families is often a struggle. SSJ’s Guardian Angel Closet clothing ministry can help fill the gap by providing for the needs of families in our church and community. To be God’s instrument is by doing a work of mercy – covering the naked with clothes. Ezekiel 18:16

Ways to Volunteer 

We need volunteers willing to help sort clothes, assist shoppers, manage the check-out area and pray with individuals and families as they leave. This is a great service project for individuals. 

Ways to Support 

Donate gently used or new clothing, shoes, coats and accessories in good condition so that others can benefit from them. We accept all clothing and shoes from newborn to adult sizes in all selections — casual, sports, dress, and maternity, for example. Please have closed washed and ready to use. However, we prefer NEW socks and undergarments (still in packaging). Or you may make a monetary donation to Guardian Angel Closet. Please consider the dignity of these families when you are donating. 

NOTE: (We are currently only accepting monetary donations. No clothing or shoes at this time. Due to the generous donations, we are at storage capacity. We hope to begin receiving clothing and shoes in late July or early August. Thank you for your understanding and patience.) We do not accept, clothing with stains, holes, company logos, or dirty shoes. All other items that parishioners wish to donate should go to their favorite charity, as we are not equipped to take any other donations at this time.
