15 Week Rosary
Join us in the Church every Saturday at 8:00 AM (7:50 AM on First Saturdays) to pray the Rosary and reflect on one of the fifteen mysteries. Inspired by Blessed Bartolo Longo, this devotion deepens our love for Our Lady and meditation on Christ’s life, concluding with a brief reflection each week.

40 Hour Adoration
Each month, Sts. Simon & Jude begins 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration with the 5:00 p.m. Mass on the first Thursday (with exceptions), continuing uninterrupted until Saturday at noon. This extended time before the Blessed Sacrament offers a peaceful space for prayer, reflection, and renewal in the presence of the Lord.

5'O clock Virtual Rosary Group
Join us on Zoom every day at 5:00 PM to pray the Rosary together in a peaceful and prayerful virtual community.

ACTS Retreat
ACTS Retreats for Men and Women offer a powerful weekend of prayer, community, and renewal. Rooted in Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service, these retreats help you deepen your relationship with Christ and connect more fully with others in the parish.

Acolyte
Instituted Acolytes assist the priest and deacon at the altar, support the distribution of Holy Communion, and help with liturgical formation, serving with reverence and deep understanding of the Mass.

Adopt-a-Grandparent
Adopt-A-Grandparent Ministry brings joy to nursing home residents through visits filled with music, crafts, and celebration. Families can help by donating cards, gifts, or supporting seasonal events.

Adoration
Sentinels Adorers are essential to ensure the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone on the Altar and the Chapel can remain open for visitors and adorers.

Adult Scripture Study
Adult Scripture Study offers welcoming spaces to explore and reflect on the Bible, deepening faith and understanding through thoughtful discussion for both new and experienced participants.

Adult Servers
Adult Altar Servers, age 18 and confirmed, assist at Mass with reverence and receive training throughout the year.

Advent Penance Service
Sts. Simon & Jude will host its Advent Penance Service with priests from our parish and St. Anthony of Padua on campus for confessions. A great opportunity to begin the season renewed and at peace.

After Mass Fellowship
Join us after Mass in the SSJ Café for donuts, coffee, and a chance to connect with fellow parishioners in joyful fellowship.

Alliance of the Hearts
Join us for the Alliance of the Hearts Devotion—a beautiful expression of love and reparation to the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Each First Saturday, we gather as a parish community to honor their united suffering and love through prayer, reflection, and the Sacraments. Altar Server Ministry
The Altar Server Ministry is open to those who have received First Holy Communion and assists during Mass, with training offered throughout the year.

Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace is part of our Family Faith Formation, serving individuals with adaptive or special needs. During the school year, we host a monthly Amazing Grace Mass—a joyful, inclusive celebration where every participant is welcomed, supported, and loved.

American Heritage Girls #204
AHG is a faith-based scouting program for girls ages 5-18 that encourages new challenges, service, friendship, and fun in a safe, supportive environment.

Angel Tree
The Angel Tree is our annual Christmas outreach where parishioners choose a child’s angel from the Plaza, shop for their gift, and return the donation to help make a child’s Christmas brighter. Volunteers then wrap the gifts and host a special celebration where the children come to SSJ, enjoy a fun-filled day, and receive their presents with joy and love.

Art & Environment
This ministry enhances the beauty of the sanctuary by preparing worship spaces for weekend, feast day, and holiday Masses.

Baby Shower Drive
Our Baby Shower Drive supports the Gabriel Project, which walks alongside mothers who have courageously chosen life. Each fall and on Mother’s Day, we collect baby items to provide practical help and loving support to moms in need.

Start the school year with prayer. Join us for our Backpack Blessing, where students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks and receive a special blessing for a year filled with wisdom, growth, and God’s grace.

Basketball in the Event Center

Blessed Is She
Blessed is She is a welcoming women's group focused on prayer, fellowship, and growing in faith through devotional-based videos and meaningful discussion. No prep needed—just come as you are and journey closer to Christ alongside other women.

Blood Drive
Give the gift of life! Our Blood Drive, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, takes place in the SSJ parking lot after Sunday Masses in the fall and spring. A simple act of service that makes an extraordinary difference.

Box of Joy
Box of Joy is a simple way to bring Christmas to children in need. Partnering with Cross Catholic Outreach, we fill shoeboxes with small gifts and necessities and send them to our mission parish in Guatemala. Join us in spreading joy!

Celebration of Life Ministry
Celebration of Life Ministry provides free funeral receptions at SSJ for grieving families. Volunteers are needed to help prepare, set up, and serve food—offering comfort and compassion through hospitality at a time of loss.

The Creation Care Team inspires our parish to live out Catholic teaching by caring for God’s creation through education, advocacy, and sustainable action.

Cross Catholic Outreach
Cross Catholic Outreach partners with our parish to bring Christ’s love to those in need, especially our mission parish in Guatemala. Through our Food Packing Event, Box of Joy outreach, and annual Mission Trip, we provide meals, gifts, and personal support to families facing extreme poverty. Together, we live out the Gospel by turning faith into action and building hope for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Path to Healing is a faith-based, Catholic recovery ministry offering hope, support, and healing for those affected by divorce, guiding them toward forgiveness, growth, and renewed happiness.

EMHC Visitation
Bring the comfort of Christ to those who are homebound or in care facilities by serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Edge Night
Edge Nights are weekly gatherings for 6th–8th graders filled with faith, fun, and friendship. Join us Wednesdays from 6:30–8:00 PM for games, small groups, and special events like movie nights, Thanksgiving food drives, Christmas caroling, Holy Week Missions, and more!

Emergency Management Volunteers
SSJ partners with the American Red Cross as a key Montgomery County shelter, providing housing and support during disasters, and is seeking trained volunteers to help.

Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy Cenacle
We study the Diary of St. Faustina, the Bible, and Church teachings to live the message of Divine Mercy, growing in trust and forgiveness as a way of life.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC)
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, age 18 and confirmed, assist in distributing the Eucharist during Mass.

Faith Formation Sunday
Family Faith Formation Sundays are for the whole family—not a drop-off program. Parents and children grow in faith together through engaging breakouts, Sunday Mass, and a parish lunch. It’s a joyful way to build faith and community as a family.

Faith Formation Volunteers
Faith Formation volunteers help nurture the spiritual growth of children, teens, and families through service, teaching, and support. Roles include Guides (catechists), Assistant Guides, Edge and Life Teen Core Teams, Parents on Patrol (POP), facilities helpers, and more.

Family Breakout Groups
During Faith Formation Sundays, families break out by age group. While children head to their classrooms for interactive lessons, parents gather in Domec Hall to dive deeper into the Catechism and grow in their own understanding of the faith.

Family Movie Night
Join us at the SSJ Pavilion for a cozy Family Drive-In Movie Night this Advent! Enjoy a Christmas movie, hot chocolate, and desserts—hosted by the Family Council.

Family Virtual Rosary
Join us on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM on Zoom for the Family Rosary—praying together for our parish, families, and the world while staying connected as a community.

Filipino-American Council
The Filipino-American Council celebrates and shares the richness of Filipino culture within our Catholic faith. They organize events such as Simbang Gabi and support parish initiatives like Live Christ, Share Christ.

Finance Council
The Finance Council advises the pastor on parish financial matters, helping manage budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare the annual State of the Parish report.

Food Drive
Help us feed families in need! Our Food Drive supports both Holy Week Missions and the Freedom Festival Day of Service by collecting items for Easter baskets and picnic baskets. Let’s share the joy of a meal with those who need it most!

On a weekly basis, this group will gather and count the weekend's offertory and prepare it for deposit.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry leads the congregation in worship through song, serving as the choir at Mass and welcoming all who love to sing or play.

Newcomer Welcoming Ministry
Help welcome new parishioners by assisting with our Newcomer Lunches with Fr. Pat and introducing them to ways to get involved at SSJ.

Nursery
Our nursery is open during the 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM Masses in Domec Hall, lovingly staffed by our experienced Mother's Day Out teachers. Enjoy a more reverent worship experience while your little ones are safely cared for nearby.

Ora Pro Nobis
Ora Pro Nobis is the Intercessory Prayer Ministry at Saints Simon and Jude, where a prayer is written for parishioners’ intentions and lifted up daily by a dedicated circle of 220 prayer warriors, joining in Christ’s loving intercession and the healing power of God.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration
Join us for a joyful celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a bilingual Mass, followed by mariachi music, traditional matachinas dancers, and delicious Mexican food in the Event Center.

Our Lady's Rosary Makers
Our Lady’s Rosary Makers meet twice a month to teach and make rosaries, sharing the mission of placing a rosary—and Mary’s love—in every hand.

Parish Conference
Our Family Conference invites the entire family to come together to learn, grow, and deepen their Catholic faith through inspiring speakers. While parents and older kids engage in enriching sessions, little ones enjoy a fun and faith-filled Vacation Bible School experience.

The Parish Novena in honor of Sts. Simon & Jude will take place October 19–27, leading up to our feast day on October 28. This nine-day period of prayer and reflection includes continuous Adoration, inviting all to spend time with the Lord in gratitude and preparation.

Rainbow and Roses is a compassionate grief support ministry offering comfort, connection, and healing to anyone mourning the loss of a loved one, welcoming all parishioners and families on their journey toward hope.

Regnum Christi is a spiritual movement that helps individuals discover and live out their God-given mission through formation, community, and a deep love for Christ and His Church.

Rejoice Counseling
Rejoice Counseling Apostolate offers professional, faith-based counseling services to support Sts. Simon and Jude parishioners through life’s challenges with compassion and Catholic guidance.

Join the Respect Life Ministry to support and pray for every life from conception to natural death through education, advocacy, and compassionate care.
Rice Bowl
Each Lent, we invite families to participate in CRS Rice Bowl, a simple way to practice prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. The small donations collected help support those in need both locally and around the world.
SSJ Altar Linens Ministry
The Altar Linen Society reverently cares for and launders the sacred linens used during Mass.

SSJ Gift Shop Volunteers
The SSJ Gift Shop in Room 3-4 offers Catholic gifts and is run by volunteers—join us and help out after Mass!
